Division of Maritime Services

For more than 30 years, CESMEC has maintained a constant presence in the shipping and harbor sector through their Maritimes Services Division, wich give a service of technical permanent support, inside the area of trade national and international, so that our clients can protect their interests in front of possible wrecks to the load or to structures of the ship.

Our main proposal during these years has been the delivery of an integral service to our clients, either they are shipping, shipbuilding agents, clubs P and I, harbor terminals or others.

To promote the services of the Maritime Division, CESMEC formed in 2000, a company highly specialized in maritimes inspection called WORLD SURVEY SERVICES Chile,constituted by a qualified group of engineers, technicians and officials of the national merchant marine of extensive experience in the area of nautical survey and control of losses.

The objective of this company is oriented to give a service of technical competition high to the sector import, exporting and of transport; being its main line of services, inspection of load, administration of risks, control of losses, commercial maritime advising, expert's reports and technical training in the area of insurances and claims.

Some of the activities that the Maritime Services Division of CESMEC makes are:

  • Supervision and inspection of structural condition and aptitude of warehouses, ships, as well as of containers and pools.
  • Supervision and control of shipments and product unloadings of the fishing and agro-industrial sector.
  • Supervision and inspection of perecible load.
  • Inspection and certification of frozen load.
  • Supervision and certification in the rafter sector and mining.
  • Supervision of shipments and unloading of fuels and chemical agents, as well as of bulks in general.
  • Advising and expert work of faults in front to a damages during these processes.
  • The Division of Maritime Services of CESMEC operates in the main ports of Chile, Peru, Ecuador and Argentina in South America and the rest of the world.
