Division of Industrial Inspections
This division has been, during last the 30 years, rendering an ample variety of technical services to the industry in Chile and other countries of South America.
It has a multidisciplinary staff of engineers and technicians specialized in the different techniques from inspection and essays. Most of its activities they are to carry out during the acquisition, manufacture, construction and maintenance of structures, equipment, machinery, parts and components for different types from industrial and mining facilities. Its personnel is qualified to carry out the reception of those goods in the task, and to provide the services of inspection and essays required during the different stages from construction and assembly of the projects.
As a example, we can emphasize the inspection during the construction of the following projects:
Thermoelectrial plants: Ventanas 2, Guacolda, Mejillones, Ilo 2 (Peru).
Factories of Cellulose: Constitution, Laja, Mininco, Santa Fe, Arauco.
Mining facilities: Codelco, Mining Escondida, Mining Los Pelambres, Radomiro Tomic, Company Mining Doña Ines de Collahuasi.
Adductions: Oleoducto Trasandino, Gasoducto Atacama, Gasoducto of Pacifico.
MAIN SERVICES:
- Inspection of manufacture and assembly of machinery, equipment of process, structures, boilers, pressure vessels, storage tanks, etc.
- Non-destructive essays of materials and welds during the manufacture and assembly, or as a support to the evaluation of equipment for preventive maintenance purposes:
The competent Chilean authority in inspection, essay and certification of pressure vessels, storage tanks of fuel and pipe lines is authorized to CESMEC like a Laboratory and Organization of Certification (L.E.C.).
REGIONAL OFFICES AND LABORATORIES:
To assure a fast response as much in the north as in center and the south of Chile, this Division has offices and laboratories in Antofagasta, Santiago and Talcahuano.
SYSTEM OF QUALITY:
The Division carries out its inspection and essays, fulfilling the requirements of a System of Quality based on 2404 norms NCH and guide NCh-ISO 17025, using personal trained and qualified agreement with the norms and international practices.
