Division of Civil Engineering
This Division, this oriented to respond and to support the ample requirements of Civil Engineering of a project, during its diverse stages. The Division has participated in the different states of construction of the most important projects and megaprojects carried out in the last years in areas such as mining, fishing, industrial cellulose, ports and another industrials works and of construction. In addition to its permanent laboratories, the Division of Civil Engineering is equipped with movable land laboratories, which are installed in the task site where the projects are executed.

The samplings and essays of materials are made according to national and international norms, or according to particular engineering specifications of the project. Chemical Essays or another type, are carried out with the collaboration of other divisions specialized of CESMEC.
The Ministry of the Housing and Urbanism (MINVU), declared to the Division of Civil Engineering like “Official Institution for the Engineering control of Quality of Materials and Industrial Elements for the Construction” according to resolution N º 507 of 26.09.1997
SERVICES OF TECHNICAL INSPECTION
The Division gives services of technical inspection in the diverse stages of construction of any project of engineering. This independent technical inspection, protects the interests, specifications and objectives of the Owners, insurance agencies and financial banks of these projects. CESMEC has developed an ample range of services of inspection that allows to carry out the technical supervision and inspection in form coordinated in land.

QUALITY SYSTEM
The Division operates mainly under a System of Securing of Quality based on the requirements established in Guide NCh-ISO 17025.
GEOGRAPHIC DISTRIBUTION
The Division possesses a wide coverage in the economic centers principals of the country, operating its laboratories with trained technician personal. These laboratories are located in:
- Iquique, Antofagasta, Calama, Viña del Mar, San Antonio, Santiago y Talcahuano.
Consequently, CESMEC can to provide an ample range with services that go from the stage of prospection, essays of laboratories to the supervision and technical inspection of the projects.
